My Chinese New Year

Just a blink, Chinese New Year already passed. Today is the seventh day already. What a fast the time over. No wonder, there is a Chinese aphorism- gaung yin shi jian. ( Meant time just like an arrow that you shoot out.) Days before, we were busy with preparing New Year stuff. But, just a wink of eye, if time we take off the enjoy time and starting our new working days.

Recall to these few days, what have I done:

During Chinese New Year eve, I was busy with decorate my house, cleaning my altar. All the decoration was done by me and the altar also designed by me. At the noon, I was cleaning my living room and making a layer cake. Night, after Chinese New Year eve family reunion dinner, again I made a fruit cake. Wow, sound nice right? Yea, those relatives and friends that visit my house praised that my skill nice. He he, that’s not a joke. If you don’t believe, come to my house next time and try it yourself. We normally will have an open house at first day to serving people. You are very welcome on the first day to enjoy our curry. ;-)

Feel a bit proud for my mum because she has a quite “versatile” son. This few years, all the cleaning works at home were mostly done by me. For these 10 years, the decoration was done by me. (In this family, only me interesting in decorate the house.)

First day of Chinese New Year, woke up quite early. Been visited to few of the famous temples – The Tua Pek Kong Temple which located at the middle of city( face to the Sarawak River and can say located between The Hilton Hotel and Harbor View Hotel.) Then visit the Shang Ti Miao at the Carpenter Street. Thereafter, me and my uncle have visited the Sarawak Buddhist Association for praying at my grandparent. When reached home, quickly cooking. Then waiting for relatives and friends’ visiting. Noon been visited to small aunt house and adopted mum’s house. Then I have just spent my night with playing online game.

Second day- really a boring day for me. Just stayed at home whole days since outside was hot. Only visited Kah Chien’s house during night.

Third day, was visited to QQ’s house. ( QQ is mother’s brother in Hakka.) It was raining at the morning thus we only stayed at QQ’s home. However there no more rain at noon and we went to the beach side swimming. I was pity because the vigorous sun has caused me to sun burnt. My skin becomes even darker than last time.

Fourth day, again, I hiding at home. What a hot and tired day. I was sun burnt!

Fifth day, again I was staying at home. Gosh, this is the first time experience that I ever faced in these few years.

Sixth day, same as what I’ve done on the fourth and fifth day.

Seventh day- today, just lunch with Wei Kiat at outside then again whole noon stayed at home. Night, went fro dinner with my Canada relatives. What a enjoy night!

How about the eighth day? Haiz, not sure. What is going to be happens tomorrow, is not under my predicted? Just see how is it…..
